WEBSITE INFORMATION

Privacy Policy

Last reviewed: October 22, 2026.

Hawthorne Accounting Services LLC operates AmericasTaxExpert.com. This policy describes the website consultation form, optional visitor analytics, and services used to operate and protect the website.

Information you provide

The free telephone consultation request form asks for your name, email address, telephone number, general tax-concern category, preferred date and time window, optional alternative availability, and confirmation of New Jersey residence and privacy notice acknowledgement. The form does not request Social Security numbers, tax returns, account numbers, or supporting documents. Online requests are not automatically confirmed appointments.

Website and hosting information

Like many websites, hosting and security providers may process technical information such as IP addresses, browser details, pages requested, and request timestamps to operate, protect, and troubleshoot the site. Our website hosting and security providers may process this information according to their own policies and our service arrangements.

Secure client communications

The firm uses Verifyle for secure messages and document exchange with clients, as well as invoices and payments. Access to third-party services is governed by the relevant provider's terms and privacy information. An initial inquiry alone does not establish a professional engagement.

Use and disclosure of information

Information provided to the firm may be used to respond to inquiries, assess whether services may be appropriate, and conduct an authorized engagement. Information may also be processed by service providers supporting communications, hosting, and security, or disclosed when required by applicable law. We do not use the consultation form to solicit sensitive tax documents.

Cookies and analytics

The consultation form uses an essential, short-lived session cookie for security and loads Cloudflare Turnstile to help prevent automated abuse. Cloudflare may process browser and network information as part of its security services. If the administrator enables the optional first-party visitor analytics, the website uses locally stored pseudonymous browser and visit identifiers and records limited events such as page views, referral categories and consultation-form activity. The code respects supported Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control browser signals and the website administrator can disable analytics. Custom analytics do not record form contents or full IP addresses, although hosting and security providers may process technical logs independently. Browser identifiers expire after approximately 30 days; analytics files are designed to be removed after approximately six months.

Data retention and requests

Consultation requests are sent to the firm by email for follow-up. Optional private server logging is disabled in the supplied configuration. Email and case records may be retained as necessary for the firm's professional, administrative, and legal obligations. Security rate-limit data is retained for short operational windows; optional analytics are designed for roughly six months of retention. Contact the firm using its published telephone number with inquiries about personal information.

Security

The firm uses third-party tools to support secure client communication. No website or electronic service can guarantee absolute security. Sensitive tax records should be shared only using the secure method specified by the firm.

Updates

This policy may be revised when website functionality or information-handling practices change. Changes will be reflected on this page.
